The Name
Admin comes from the Latin administrare — to manage with skill. Stone is the most permanent foundation in human construction. Together, they describe what we do: skillful management built on something that will hold.
About Adminstone
Why this exists
We did not build Adminstone because we saw a market opportunity. We built it because we have lived the cost of not having it. The legal question that became a dispute. The financial report that arrived too late. The best employee who walked out the door because nobody noticed she was unhappy. The marketing strategy that was always two weeks away from happening.
Every small business owner knows these moments. Most of them believe the answer is hiring the right person full time. But the person who can do all of those things well does not exist. What exists is eight different professionals who each do one thing exceptionally well. The problem has always been that small businesses cannot afford eight professionals. We built the model that changes that.
Built First
Before a single client was invited in we spent months building the infrastructure that makes Adminstone work. The platform. The delivery system. The monthly brief process. The professional team. The documents. The onboarding flow. The quality standards. The coordination model that ensures eight professionals work as one team rather than eight separate vendors who happen to serve the same client. We did this because a business that trusts us with $5,000 per month deserves to join something that is ready for them. Not something that is learning how to serve them while serving them. This fall we open to 35 clients. The team is assembled. The system is built. The process is ready. All that is missing is the 35 businesses that deserve it.
Admin comes from the Latin administrare — to manage with skill. Stone is the most permanent foundation in human construction. Together, they describe what we do: skillful management built on something that will hold.
To be the professional foundation every small business deserves — at a price that makes it accessible. No hourly meters, no surprise invoices, no advisor silos. Just a team that shows up every month.
One subscription. Eight coordinated professionals. Monthly work — completed and documented — coordinated by the Business Advisor before anything reaches the client. Plus a quarterly CEO Creative Strategy Session.
Our Values
A deliverable that does not help the client is not a deliverable. Every piece of work produced by this team asks one question before submission — will this actually make a difference for this specific business this specific month. If the answer is not a clear yes it goes back.
A Financial Strategist who knows what the People Strategist found produces better work than one who does not. The monthly brief exists because coordinated professionals produce better outcomes than isolated experts. Every professional reads every other professional's work before producing their own.
A client who is making a mistake needs to hear it — clearly specifically and kindly. A team member who has a concern needs to be able to raise it without fear. Difficult truths told with care are worth more than comfortable silence.
The team works four days a week — Monday through Thursday. Three firm-wide paid closure weeks per year. Personal PTO that is genuinely personal. This is not generosity. It is operational philosophy. Rested professionals produce better work.
The goal is not to keep clients subscribed at their current tier indefinitely. The goal is to help their businesses grow to the point where they need more. A Launch client who graduates to Complete because Adminstone genuinely changed their business is the proof that the work worked.
Artificial Intelligence
Proofreading professional deliverables before they reach clients. Checking reasoning against a second perspective. Catching errors that human eyes sometimes miss after extended focused work. AI is our quality layer — the final check before our work leaves our hands.
Generating the analysis the strategy the legal review the financial assessment or the professional judgment that forms the substance of our work. Every conclusion our professionals reach is their own backed by their training their experience and their professional accountability. AI does not write our deliverables. Our professionals do.
AI can be wrong. Not occasionally — regularly. AI platforms present inaccurate information with the same confident tone they use for accurate information. A business owner relying on AI for legal advice financial analysis or HR guidance is taking a risk that is not always visible until it becomes expensive. Our professionals know this. They have seen AI produce plausible-sounding but incorrect conclusions about tax treatment contract language employment law and market conditions. That is why we use it as a checking tool rather than a thinking tool. The professional thinks. The AI checks. Never the other way around.
We are conscious of the growing concerns about data centers energy consumption and the broader costs of large-scale AI infrastructure. We believe responsible AI use means minimal use — not maximum use. We do not feed client data into AI platforms. We do not use AI to process analyze or store sensitive client information. When AI assists in our quality review process it operates on anonymized professional work — never on client financial data legal documents or workforce information. Your data stays with your professionals.
We are a firm of skilled human professionals who use technology thoughtfully. We use AI the way a surgeon uses a checklist — as a disciplined final verification that the human work meets the human standard. The checklist does not perform the surgery. The surgeon does.
